Our take on Black Friday
We’ve had lots of enquiries about Black Friday so I wanted to write to you personally to let you know that this year, we’ve decided that A Girl for All Time won’t be participating in Black Friday sales.
When I founded A Girl for All Time nearly a decade ago, my goal was to create a small independent business that would remain true to its core values: an environmentally low-impact business with its own range of educational, unique and high-quality toys that would last a lifetime.
Micro-batch manufacturing allows us to do all that. While we are not the cheapest on the market, we do our best to offer fair prices that will respect your wallet, allow us to stay in business and create beautiful, long-lasting products.
But over the last few years, we have noticed that Black Friday creates a false need to panic buy over one weekend. That causes a huge imbalance for us for the rest of the year: inventory, staffing, and warehousing are all affected by that one weekend.
Moreover, for a small business, stocking for Black Friday can be a challenge and lead to more wastage, something we’ve been trying to avoid this year. Click here to learn about what we're doing to reduce our carbon footprint.
What we prefer to focus on is creating top quality items, at the best prices possible, all year round.
We are - and always have been - committed to creating intelligently designed toys that educate, entertain and empower children.
