'If you don't try, you'll never know'
I've always loved a challenge and taking a taking a risk - whether its living in 4 different countries within 8 years and or raising 2 kids thousands of miles from home - I find the challenges and rewards that come from taking a risk exciting and gratifying at the the same time.
I feel the same way about running a business. The only way to do things better, or deliver a better product to market is by taking a risk, stepping out of your comfort zone and doing something different to the way you’ve always done it.
We're the first toy company that I know of to host our very own Crowdfunding Campaign on our own site. And according to Toy News, what we've done is an industry first.
New products, new markets, new investors, and new ways of doing things are the lifeblood of growth. And while each innovation carries potential risk, businesses that don't innovate will eventually diminish.
We will keep innovating and trying new things - some will work, and some will not. But I hope that as a company we can continue to grow and learn from everything we do.
CROWDFUNDING UPDATE
Having run two successful campaigns on Indiegogo and Kickstarter, we wanted a platform that we had more control over so we decided to launch our own. And while we're disappointed (like you) that not all items will fund the first time around, that does not mean that you won't see these gorgeous designs on our website at some stage.
The good news is that we have decided to extend the deadline for Max's campaign by two weeks until 03 July.
The other campaigns will end tomorrow and if an item you purchased does not reach its goal and you want to swap your purchase over to Max, email me at frances@agirlforalltime.com and we can sort that out for you.
Otherwise you will be refunded for any items that do not meet crowdfunding goals, while we extend Max's deadline and keep working towards bringing him home for you!
Frances
