Preparing a surprise for Mother's Day
Today was Mother’s Day and I’ve been planning it with Dad all week. We agreed that I would make the card and Dad would get the flowers because I’m the best at drawing.
My teacher set us a project to make a card for our mums out of the materials we have in the art room. I used lots of different coloured card and cut it into strips to spell out ‘I LOVE YOU MUM’, it was quite long so I had to make an extra big card. On the inside I drew mum as a superhero standing on top of the Houses of Parliament. I think it’s my best drawing yet.
Me and Dad chose carnations for the flowers. I like them best because they’re pink which is my second favourite colour. Apparently they’re also the traditional flower of Mother’s Day!
I’m just waiting for Mum to wake up and then I’m going to rush in and show her everything that we’ve done. I think she’ll love my card the most.
